The Task

Your quest is to create an exhibit on the Harlem Renaissance for the new National Museum of African American History and Culture that will be built in Washington, D.C. next to the Washington Monument.

Working in groups of three, each person will become an expert on one part of the Harlem Renaissance, either writing, art, or music. Groups will then pool their knowledge to create an exhibit for the museum, including a visual display and a written description. Each exhibit will showcase the contributions of specific individuals and also explain the importance of Harlem Renaissance.
