Evaluation

Each student will turn in:

a KWL chart
a web diagram
a journal
a self-evaluation
a reflection questionnaire

Your contributions to group work during research meetings will be graded based on teacher observation and your self-evaluation. The rest of your grade will be determined using the rubrics below.

Web Diagram Rubric

	Beginning 1	Developing 2	Accomplished 3	Exemplary 4	Score
Completion	Web diagram is incomplete and shows that student does not understand the topic.	Web diagram is incomplete, but shows some effort or understanding of the topic.	Web diagram is completed and shows good effort and understanding of the topic.	Web diagram is fully completed and shows outstanding effort and understanding of the topic.

Journal Rubric

Facts from Research	Journal is extremely brief and lists very few facts from research.	Journal lists some facts from research.	Journal lists many facts from research.	Journal lists extensive facts from research.
Personal Reaction	Journal contains no personal opinions, attitudes, or connections.	Journal contains one personal opinion, attitude, or connection.	Journal contains two personal opinions, attitudes, or connections.	Journal contains three or more personal opinions, attitudes, or connections.
Evaluating Point of View Differences	Journal contains no comparisons or contrasts of different sources.	Journal contains one comparison or contrast of different sources.	Journal contains two comparisons or contrasts of different sources.	Journal contains three or more comparisons or contrasts of different sources.

Reflection Rubric

Television Show Discussion Rubric
